Gwent Police are appealing for information following a one vehicle road traffic collision which occurred last night, Monday 5th May, at approximately 11.55pm.
A grey Rover MG collided with a tree on the A4048 at Ynysddu, Blackwood.
The two occupants, a 20 year old woman and a 21 year man, both from the local area, were taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital with serious injuries. They both remain there at this time in a stable condition.
The road was temporarily closed following the collision but has since been reopened.
