Gwent Police is appealing for information following a high value theft from MIR Steel on Corporation Road, Newport.
The theft was reported on 24th June but is thought to have occurred over several nights previous.
An outbuilding at the site was broken into and large copper plates which are coloured coded red, yellow and blue were removed. Additionally a large amount of industrial cabling was stolen. The cable has a black outer skin which contains three triangular shaped 1/4 inch cables which ware also colour coded red, yellow and blue.
The total value of items stolen is believed to be in the region of £40,000.
