Police are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Prescoed prison absconder 22 year old Lee David Pearson. He absconded from HMP Prescoed prison last night (Saturday October 2nd) He was convicted for Burglary at Swansea Crown Court on 31st December 2009. He is not a registered sex offender and is not serving a life sentence.
Lee Pearson is described as 1.8metres tall and 78 kg. He is described as a black male, has shaved dark hair and dark eyes.
Its believed he has contacts in the Neath and Port Talbot areas.
It is believed there may be a potential risk to the public due to the fact he is no longer in the custody of the prison service.
Gwent Police has activated its operational plan with the aim of locating the individual and the prison is co-operating fully with us. Members of the public are advised not to approach Lee Pearson and to call Gwent Police on 01633 838111.
