Appeal for information on Anglesey

Police are appealing for information after three men threatened a husband and wife and stole a number of items from a house in Pentraeth, Anglesey, on Monday night (January 31).

Detective Inspector Keith Ellis said that the three men, all believed to be wearing covers over their heads entered the home at around 9pm, threatened the occupants with a screwdriver and tied them up.

He said: “The offenders stole a substantial amount of cash and jewellery and made off in the home owner’s vehicle, a silver Nissan Quashkai which was later found abandoned near Sopna Indian Restaurant, Four Crosses, Menai Bridge.

“The couple were not injured but shaken up by the experience.

“Crimes like these are rare and we would like to reassure the public that North Wales Police are investigating this offence robustly and will continue to do so until the perpetrators are brought to justice.

“We are appealing to anyone who has information in connection with this incident and to any person who was in the area at the time and may have seen the car being abandoned or anything suspicious to contact us immediately.”
