At approximately 1830 hours on Monday 30th June 2014 a Serious Road Traffic Collision occurred on the A470 Dual Carriageway at Merthyr Tydfil.
A 22 year old local man was riding his Green Kawasaki motorcycle south bound between Rhydycar and Pentrebach when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the central barrier. The rider sustained serious injuries and was air lifted to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
South Wales Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or who saw the motorcycle being ridden immediately prior to the collision to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit by calling 101.
