South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a Serious Road Traffic Collision that occurred at approximately 4.50pm on Monday 30th June 2014 at Gurnos Road, Merthyr.
This collision involved a Blue Skoda Roomster which was travelling from the direction of Acacia Avenue, when it has collided with a parked unattended Mercedes Flatbed van.
The driver and passenger in the Skoda vehicle were conveyed from the scene by ambulance to Prince Charles Hospital where they remain. The carriageway was closed for approximately 5 hours whilst the police conducted initial investigations.
South Wales Police would like to speak to any person who witnessed the collision, or any person who may have seen the Skoda vehicle being driven prior to the collision, and would request they contact 101.
