Were you on holiday in Crete on June 18 and if so did you visit the Souda Bay Cemetery, to the east of Chania?
A visitor’s book shows that missing Denbigh man Robert Arthur Jones visited the World War II cemetery on this date and North Wales Police, who are assisting the Greek authorities, are keen to speak to anyone who was at the location.
Superintendent Steve Williams said: “We know that Arthur has attended there on June 18th, probably around the early morning time. The visitor’s book shows that there were a number of British people there on the same day.”
“Is your name on this visitors list or do you know anyone who has signed their name in the book?
“Our hope is that someone remembers seeing or even speaking to him.”
“I would also ask that if anyone took photographs there to check whether Arthur is in the background as it may identify the clothing Arthur was wearing.”

73 year old Arthur Jones began his holiday in Crete on June 17th 2014 and has failed to make contact with his family and friends since June 18th.
Arthur, a former soldier and a keen walker, is 5’6 tall, medium build with short grey hair and a grey moustache.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Evans, Missing person Co-ordinator Mark Owen and Phil Benbow Chair of the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association are in Crete and working with the Greek authorities to maximise the opportunities to locate Mr Jones.
