Appealing following burglary near Deiniolen

An appeal for witnesses and information is being made following a burglary at an address near Deiniolen.

Sometime between 1pm and 3:30pm on Thursday, 3rd March a burglary occurred at an address in Dinorwig whilst the occupants were out.

During the burglary a large amount of cash and jewellery were stolen. Amongst the jewellery were distinctive pieces such as a welsh slate locket, a diamond bracelet, two crystal glass bracelets, a cameo brooch with a white background and a photograph of a lady wearing a green dress and a pink pendant necklace with matching bracelet.

PCSO Michael Couling from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “I would urge local communities to be vigilant to this type of crime whereby the offender(s) gained access via the back door by kicking the wooden door and removing the wood from its hinges.

“Anybody who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the Dinorwig area on that afternoon or anybody who may have information regarding the whereabouts of the jewellery is asked to contact us immediately.”
