The new Local Development Plan (LDP) will go out to full public consultation over six weeks from Friday June 4th to Friday July 16th. This is the opportunity for residents in Wrexham to give their views on the Plan.
The plan sets out proposals for the use and development of land in Wrexham up to 2021 including sites for new housing and affordable homes, employment, retail development and the new proposed traveller site in Ruthin Road. It also highlights protected areas such as open countryside, conservation areas and public open spaces.
Exhibitions will be held in various locations across the county and the plan will also be available to view on the council’s website, at local libraries and in the Planning Department in Lambpit Street. Representations to the are encouraged via the online comment or the standard form which can be downloaded from the website or from The Planning Department, Lambpit Street, Wrexham. All representations will be forwarded by the Planning Department to the Planning Inspectorate who will make the final decision on the Plan.

I would also strongly urge residents to take the time to look at the Plan and make any observations or objections they may have to the allocation of particular pieces of land before the end of the consultation period.”
