To celebrate the culmination of the first block of Art in Nature, Year 2 there will be a celebratory event at Wepre Park Visitor Centre, 1.30pm on Wednesday, December 9.
There will be a short introduction and welcome from Councillor Colin Legg, Chairman of Flintshire County Council and also an opportunity to meet the groups/schools that participated in the project.
Throughout the autumn term, members of the community and local schools have been working with experienced professional artists, Mai Thomas and Ticky Lowe and New Media Artist, Chris Elliott, creating environmental art work based on the natural forms and shapes found in the beautiful setting of Wepre Park.
The work will be exhibited at Wepre Park Visitor Centre until 8 January and has been created by adults and children of all ages and abilities from community groups and schools across Flintshire.
Art in Nature is funded by The Arts Council of Wales and Flintshire County Council. The project is managed by the Arts, Culture and Events section of Flintshire County Council.
