National Assembly Member Mohammad Asghar has called upon the Welsh Assembly Government to publish the level of subsidy given to the air link between Cardiff and Anglesey.
During a debate brought forward by the Liberal Democrats in the Senedd, Mr Asghar said that he considered it troubling that the level of public funding spent on subsidising the north-south link had not been published.
The South Wales East AM said: “I join my colleagues in calling upon officials to disclose immediately the amount of public funding that is being spent on the subsidised link.
“Only then … can we have a proper discussion on the worth of this subsidy and of the air link.
“The Welsh Assembly Government is showing a worrying lack of transparency in the use of taxpayers’ money.”
