Following active discussions with Newport City Council, National Assembly Member Mohammad Asghar is delighted that road safety improvements have been made along Dean Street in the Maindee area of Newport.
Mr Asghar, who represents the South Wales East region at the National Assembly, said: “Recently, I have spoken to numerous constituents who have voiced concerns regarding the safety of the road following several collisions.
“Temporary problems have emerged following road resurfacing and the white ‘give way’ lines being covered during road maintenance.
“I am pleased to confirm that after constructive discussions with the Council, the white lines on Dean Street have been replaced and hopefully this will play a big part in helping road safety around the area.
“The Council acted quickly and promptly to this request and feedback from residents in the local area has been excellent.”
