Assault in Grangtown: Appeal for Information on Male known as ‘Conflict’

South Wales PoliceUPDATE: An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with the offence of wounding in connection with this incident. He is due to appear at court on February 10.

Witnesses are sought to an assault that happened on Corporation Road, Grangetown, outside the William Hill bookmakers.

A 16-year-old boy was assaulted at approximately 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 21 by the suspect who is believed to be known by the nickname Conflict.

Following the assault which resulted in the victim losing part of his ear, the suspect ran off in the direction of Clare Road.

There was a large crowd gathered outside the bookmakers and these people are urged to contact police in confidence.
