Police investigating an assault of a 16-year-old boy in Trecynon, Aberdare, have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the incident.
At around 1.20am on Saturday, June 5, South Wales Police received a report of a serious assault at a disused factory site known locally as the old chicken factory in Trecynon.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Aberdare on Wednesday and has been granted conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Phil Camm, head of Cynon CID, said: “As you would expect there is concern within the community about this incident and we have received calls from people who are worried for their safety.
“I can reassure local residents that officers are patrolling the area, a man has been arrested and an investigation is continuing.”
