Mohammad Asghar, National Assembly Member for South Wales East, has called on the Assembly Government to highlight to people across Wales the link which exists between obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Speaking in the Senedd, Mr Asghar noted that “Diabetes UK Cymru has launched a new effort to identify the estimated one in 50 people in Wales with undiagnosed diabetes”.
He asked the First Minister how the Assembly Government is emphasising “the health problems associated with obesity, particularly the potential link to the development of type 2 diabetes”.
