Shadow Minister for Equality Mohammad Asghar has again highlighted the benefit that audio-visual announcements on buses could bring to blind and partially sighted passengers.
Speaking in the Senedd, Mr Asghar noted that earlier this year “the Deputy First Minister and Minister for the Economy and Transport said that his officials would look into the feasibility of encouraging audio-visual announcements” on buses in Wales.
He emphasised how such systems would be “hugely beneficial for blind and partially sighted passengers” and said they could “play a significant role in increasing the use … of public transport in Wales”.
