Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was injured during an attempted bag snatch in St Georges Drive, Deganwy last Friday morning.
PC Huw Capper said: “At approximately 6.30am on Friday 17th September a young woman was walking in the direction of Overlea Avenue at the junction of Pant Teg when a man tried to take her handbag.
“She was confronted by the man, who had a hood covering most of his face, and pushed into a tree causing her facial injuries. He then ran off in towards the junction of Overlea Avenue.”
The offender failed to get away with woman’s handbag, but police are anxious to speak to anyone who was in the area at that time and might have noticed something.
The attacker is described as between 5ft4ins – 5ft 8 ins tall, 20-40 years old, of stocky build with visible stubble on his face.
He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, plain dark tracksuit bottoms and black trainers with red soles.
