Attempted Handbag Theft in Swansea

South Wales PolicePolice in Swansea are appealing for witnesses to an attempted handbag theft in the Brynmill area last night.

The 31-year-old female victim was walking home from work along Marlborough Road at 5.55pm on Monday 10th February when she was approached by two suspects on a motorbike.

One of them got off the bike and tried to steal her handbag but gave up after failing to pull the bag from the victim.

Detective Inspector Darren George of Swansea CID said:

“Both suspects were wearing helmets and an investigation is continuing to trace those responsible. If anyone has information about the incident or the suspects who were riding around on a motorbike before and after 6pm on Monday evening to contact us.”
