Police were called to Heol Calfin in Ravenhill, Swansea just before 3pm on Friday 31st January where a 22-year-old woman was found with head injuries.
A 39-year-old man, Robert Lee Stevenson, was arrested and has been charged with attempted murder. He is due to appear before Swansea Magistrates this morning.
The woman remains in hospital with serious injuries where her condition is described as stable.
