‘Bands in the Park’ is back for summer 2014. Music lovers throughout Caerphilly county borough will once again have the opportunity to relax in their local park and enjoy the gentle sounds of live brass bands.
It’s the perfect excuse to pack up a picnic and get out of the house on a summer’s Sunday afternoon.
The 2014 performances are as follows:
Sunday 15th June
Tiryberth Park – RAF St Athan Voluntary Band
Sunday 6th July
Waunfawr Park – Crosskeys Silver Band
Morgan Jones Park – Blaenavon Town Band
Ystrad Mynach Park – Oakdale Silver Band
Tredegar Park – Pontypool Brass Band
Sunday 17th August
Waunfawr Park – Rogerstone Brass Band
Llanbradach Park – Ynyshir Brass Band
Morgan Jones Park – BTM Band
Blackwood Showfield – Markham & District Colliery Band
All performances are between 2.30pm and 5pm.

The programme gives residents a chance to explore and enjoy their local park whilse discovering some of the incredible local talent displayed by the brass bands performing, the two go hand in hand perfectly and I’d encourage anybody to come along.”
