Beach fun day at Porth Dinllaen

Why not join Gwynedd Council’s Biodiversity team at Porth Dinllaen beach for an afternoon of fun activities and games on Friday, 29 July 2011.

There will be a warm welcome for everyone to take part in a variety of fun activities and to enjoy one of Gwynedd’s fantastic beaches. You’ll be able to take part in sand castle competitions – there’s no age limit, or come along to join in with the rock pool rambles. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Alison Hargrave, Special Areas of Conservation Officer with Gwynedd Council, said:

“This fun and free event for all the family is a great way to get out and enjoy some of the wonderful beaches Gwynedd has to offer. If you fancy searching for anemones, or even if you just fancy having a go at sculpting your favourite sea creature, come along to Porth Dinllaen beach and join in the fun.”

Look for the Pen Llŷn a’r Sarnau gazebo and banners on the beach – the team will be there from 1pm to 4pm on Friday, 29 July.  Remember your bucket and spade and lots of imagination!

This event has been organised by Gwynedd Council to celebrate Welsh Wildlife. For more information visit www.penllynarsarnau.co.uk or contact Alison Hargrave, Special Area of Conservation Officer with Gwynedd Council on 01286 679495 or email: [email protected]
