Beaumaris lifeboat rescues RIB with engine failure On Saturday 3 April, Holyhead coast guard received a report that a 38ft commercial RIB (rigid inflatable boat) had suffered engine failure off Dinas Dinlle with ten people on board.
The vessel was asked to deploy its anchor and the Beaumaris RNLI lifeboat was launched at 3.15pm.
It proceeded to the scene, took the vessel in tow and towed it in to Caernarfon.
The tide was ebbing at the time and progress was slow so the vessel was left alongside at Caernarfon to await a commercial tow.
The volunteer crew of Beaumaris lifeboat returned to station.
