Bedford Blues return to British & Irish Cup action this weekend knowing that nothing less than a win at Llanelli will do if they want an chance of qualifying for the quarter finals.
Pool Three is a close knit affair at the moment with the Blues failing to win either of their previous away games against Rotherham and Connacht, but a win at Parc Y Scarlets would set up an intriguing final game against Rotherham at Goldington Road next weekend.
Bedford make a handful of changes from the team that beat London Scottish on New Year’s Day with Eoin Sheriff joining on loan from Saracens to provide cover for Paul Tupai who is serving a three week ban while Ben Gulliver misses out with an adductor strain.
