Big names among literature line-up

Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy is among the wordsmiths set to light up this autumn’s literature programme at the Dylan Thomas Centre.

The Scottish poet will join award-winning writers Don Paterson and Gillian Clarke as some of the big names to have been confirmed for the line-up at the attraction in the Maritime Quarter.

The programme for the autumn mixes poetry, prose and performance. A creative writing workshop with Don Paterson has also been arranged and people will have the chance to try out their Shakespearean acting skills thanks to expert-led sessions with the Fluellen Theatre Company.

Jo Furber, Dylan Thomas Centre Literature Officer, said: “I’m very excited by our new autumn programme because some of the biggest names in contemporary writing are coming to Swansea.

“This is a great opportunity for everyone to come along and enjoy their work.”

The literature programme brochure is available at www.swansea.gov.uk/dtc or in hard copy at The Civic Centre, The Guildhall, Dylan Thomas Centre, Mumbles Tourist Information Centre, Swansea Tourist Information Centre, Landore Park and Ride or Fabian Way Park and Ride.
