Blackwood High Street is fast becoming THE place to shop for the fashion conscious Mod brigade.
The town is already home to the influential Barkers store and Zaks clothing outlet. Now, a new fashion store has opened called Carnaby Street.
The shop sells clothing and accessories inspired by the Mod movement and adds an authentic ‘retro’ look to the High Street.
At the shop’s recent opening members of a local scooter club attended on their Vespas and Lamberettas to mark the special event.
CCBC Town Centre Development Manager Andrew Highway welcomed the new shop to Blackwood, “Carnaby Street is a destination store which will bring even more people into Blackwood town centre. We hope that once there they will discover the host of other fantastic independent retailers the town has to offer people who love the experience of shopping”
The owners of the store hope it will be a big success, “The Mod style is timeless and there is an ever growing group of people who love the smart look and classic brands associated with the movement. We are delighted to open our base in Blackwood and look forward to building our customer base in the town.”
