Blackwood Ladies are recruiting for their team which is now in its third season.
Members train every Monday and Wednesday at Blackwood Rugby Club between 7pm and 8pm and games are played every Sunday.
Women between the ages of 18 and 50 are needed to join a well established all-female rugby team.
Rugby player Lianne Vokes, who plays fly half, said it was not just a game but a way of keeping fit and socialising.
“Socialising is a big part of our team, we arrange tours when possible,” she said. “We went to Dublin, Usk 7s, Nottingham 7s, Newquay Beach 7s last year. And this year will be no different. We are going to Scotland in October and Newquay Beach 7s on August Bank Holiday.
“We also play touring sides at Blackwood RFC. In the beginning of the year we played Munster Ladies and won and get to play them again when we go on tour there next April.”
The team also needs a sponsor as the girls are keen to see themselves kitted out in a new pink kit.
