Blackwood Library ‘bookworms’ are star performers

Blackwood Library bookworms have been getting creative by reviewing a book… in an unusual, imaginative way!

After hearing about a nationwide book review competition, the 18-member reading group from Blackwood Library decided to enter a review with a difference.

Rather than submitting a written review for their chosen book ‘Heartstone’, which is a historical crime novel set in the Tudor era and written by CJ Sansom, the group decided to get creative and write a song to review the book!

Armed with a recorder and some Tudor-style clothing, the group filmed and performed their song to the tune of ‘Greensleeves’, before uploading it to YouTube and submitting their application to the competition.

The competition winners will be announced on 6th February.
