A vital drop-in service for people suffering from mental health problems has found a new home at Brynmawr Community Centre – saving the building for local people.
The centre faced an uncertain future. But the Phoenix Project had to find new premises and Blaenau Gwent Council’s Executive Committee agreed their request to move there .
The Project run by Torfaen Mind will hold drop-in sessions offering advice on mental health five days a week.
The local Citizen’s Advice Bureau is based there. In evenings and at weekends the centre will be open for community use.
