Paul Tito believes Cardiff Blues are peaking at just the right time for their Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final with London Wasps.
The Blues have won their previous five matches as they travel to Adams Park for Saturday’s crunch clash.
And Blues skipper Tito insists Dai Young’s men are primed to topple their English opponents and reach the final in May.
Tito said: “We are peaking now and I don’t think too many teams would be lining up to face us.
“We’ve beaten Newcastle Falcons and now we face Wasps. It will be a massive task for us as they are a great team who are around the Guinness Premiership play-offs.
“We will have to be on our game to win the tie.”
The Welsh region’s recent impressive run of form has even handed the Blues a shot of reaching the Magners League play-offs in an outside double bid for glory.
And Tito reckons he is getting a dose of deja vu as they aim to lift more silverware after winning the EDF Energy Cup last season.
Tito added: “Since Christmas we have had a big turnaround and we’re going well – it’s similar to last season. Our league form wasn’t been flash but in the cup we’ve done okay. We want to be performing in all competitions and that seems to be happening now.
“We have changed a couple of things in training and the better weather has obviously helped our offloading game. The lads are fitter now and playing with flair and really having a crack and with Casey Laulala arrived and settled in, it’s made a massive difference for us.
“My form has picked up too. I feel fitter and I’m getting around the park more. We’re offloading more and you can in our performances that we are taking our training work onto the pitch now.”
