A guided walk is being arranged in the Bonymaen area to let residents know what community buildings they have in the locality.
The walk is being led by Swansea Council and takes place on Thursday (July 8) from 3pm to 5pm.
Many activities, clubs and events take place at community buildings across Swansea and the walk has been organised as an informative tour in the wake of a fire that badly damaged Bonymaen Community Centre in May.
The first meet-up point is at 3pm in the Pentrechwyth Senior Citizens Pavilion on Jersey Road where people will have the chance to find out about the centre before moving on Bontawe Community House on Myrddin Road for 3.25pm where refreshments are being made available.
The walk will then leave for Bonymaen Community Centre where people can be met at 3.45pm on the way to a 4.05pm meet-up at Cefn Hengoed Leisure Centre on Caldicot Road where information will be on hand about the activities available there.
The final stop will take place at Trallwn Community Centre on Bethel Road at 5.05pm.
Ralph Lewis, Swansea Council Community Development Officer, said: “There are so many community facilities available across Swansea that cater for people of all ages and interests and we’d like to show residents in the Bonymaen area what they can access close to their doorsteps.
“This is especially poignant in the aftermath of the fire that badly damaged Bonymaen Community Centre a few months ago and we’re hoping for a strong turnout.
“The guided walk can be joined at any stage. It’s good exercise and will be very informative.”
