Denbighshire County Council has been awarded £925,000 from the Welsh Assembly Government in support of Renewal Areas.
The money ensures that vital area renewal activity can continue within Denbighshire’s Renewal Areas in Rhyl and Denbigh, providing funding for improvements to domestic properties.
The majority of this money will be used for external renovations in Ernest Street in Rhyl and Love Lane in Denbigh. Work on both projects is due to commence in April 2011.
Councillor David Thomas, Cabinet Lead Member for Regeneration, Tourism and Housing said: “ This is more good news again for Denbighshire and it’s fantastic to be awarded significant funding in this financial climate.
“This money will help to continue with the excellent work that is being carried out on housing and environmental improvements within the Rhyl and Denbigh Renewal Areas”
