The National Botanic Garden of Wales has landed a place in the Top 10 best British gardens to visit.
The Independent newspaper has ranked the popular Carmarthenshire attraction alongside the likes of Kew, Wisley, Sissinghurst and Heligan.
The paper describes the National Botanic Garden as a ‘remarkable achievement in a mere nine years’.

The Welsh rare plant collection is unique, while the rock garden tells the story of Welsh geology. Evening primroses and red hot pokers dominate the Mediteranean Garden in August, while the Great Glasshouse is full of fragrance.
Cost of admission is £8 for adults, concessions £6.50, children (5-16) £4, and under-fives free. A family ticket is £19.50.
The Garden is open every day except Christmas Day. Opening times are 10am-6pm, with last admission at 5pm.
