Both St Davids RNLI lifeboats launch to the aid of a fishing vessel

On Saturday 26 February at 1.26pm, St Davids RNLI all-weather and inshore lifeboats launched on service to the aid of a 21ft fishing vessel Katrina with two people onboard.

The vessel, which was off St Nons, had suffered total engine failure and required immediate assistance.

Both lifeboats made good speed to the location where the all-weather lifeboat secured a tow line to the casualty vessel and then proceed to take it under tow back to the safety of a safe anchorage at St Justinian Bay.

Once it was securely moored both lifeboats returned to station and rehoused at 2.30pm.
