Both tenby lifeboats assist swamped boat

Both Tenby lifeboats were launched at 7.30am on Saturday 20 August after Milford Haven Coastguard received a call for assistance from an 18ft vessel that had become swamped and stranded on Skrinkle beach 3.5 miles to the west of Tenby.

On arrival the inshore lifeboat transferred four people from the vessel to the all-weather relief Tamar class lifeboat standing offshore.

After removing debris from the vessel a tow rope was attached and passed to the all-weather lifeboat and the vessel was towed back to Saundersfoot Harbour and passed to members of Tenby Coastguard rescue team.
