Welsh Conservatives today welcomed the news that insurance company Admiral is set to build a new home in the centre of Cardiff, allowing the giant to expand to over 3,000 employees in the city.
Commenting on the announcement, Leader of the Official Opposition in the National Assembly, Nick Bourne, said, “News of this investment in Cardiff by one of the UK’s biggest insurance companies is great news for Wales.
“The prospect of a major player in the Welsh economy increasing its capacity to recruit new staff shows great foresight and will be particularly welcome in the current economic climate.
“The Assembly Government now needs to be working closely with the private sector to sell the enormous benefits of doing business in Wales to persuade more companies to plan for future recruitment.”
