A 13 year old boy is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Acrefair, Wrexham, earlier today (Tuesday 12 January 2010).
North Wales Police received a report of the incident on Llangollen Road at 15.38 hours.
The boy, who is local to the area, is believed to have suffered a serious head injury. The male driver of the vehicle was unharmed and is not being blamed for the accident.
The road remains closed whilst collision investigation is carried out.
In the meantime, North Wales Police is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line).
