Celtic Brides in North Road, Cardiff, was burgled sometime overnight between Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15,

Approximately 27 Kelsey-Rose and Ebony Rose dresses that retail between £189 and £230 were stolen. All the dresses were shop samples.

Detective Constable Kelly Taylor from Cathays CID said: “Some of these dresses are unique and are often used for prom dresses.

“Whoever has stolen these dresses will no doubt be trying to sell them and I would appeal for anyone who has any information about this burglary or the whereabouts of these dresses to contact us.

“We are approaching prom season but I would urge anyone who is offered one of these dresses to resist the temptation of purchasing what appears to be a bargain as they risk being arrested for handling stolen items.”

The stolen dresses are mostly size 14 and are in a range of colours including turquoise, teal, sage, plum and black.

Other makes include Mia Solano, Phil Collins, Forever Yours and Venus.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cathays CID on 029 2052 7267 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
