Almost £2,200 was raised for charity by North Wales Police Chief Constable, Mark Polin and his team when they took part in a ten mile run recently.
The Chief, along with 10 NWP officers and staff ran in the first ever West Cumbrian Run, which was dedicated to police officer, Bill Barker, who tragically lost his life during the floods in Cockermouth last year.
The race also helped to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance, a charity close to the heart of Bill’s family.
Mr Polin said that it was an excellent total and a brilliant effort by the runners and everyone who supported them.
The fund raising account is open until Friday, so if anyone still wants to donate to the charity they should go to www.justgiving.com/teamnwpforbillbarker.
