A broadband boost for parts of North Wales has been welcomed by the local Assembly Member.
BT announced this week that Abergele and Colwyn Bay will be included in the latest phase of broadband upgrades to give local residents faster internet access. A total of 18 communities will be included in the work which will give speeds of up to 20 Mbps, more than double the maximum speed currently available.
Commenting on the announcement, Clwyd West AM Darren Millar said:
“’I am obviously delighted that homes and businesses in Abergele and Colwyn Bay will soon be able to enjoy the benefits that faster broadband can bring.
“However, I don’t want to see other parts of my constituency disadvantaged by lack of access to faster broadband and I’d now like to see these improvements rolled out to other parts of North Wales.
“The fight to get them connected will continue.”
