The first night time closure of the westbound tunnel at Brynglas will commence tonight (Monday, 01Aug) to start installing temporary lighting.
In order to minimise impact to road users the works are scheduled to start at 20:00 subject to traffic levels and finish before 06:00 the following day. There will be a diversion route for the westbound tunnel northwards via the A4042. These works are scheduled to last for up to a week.
Motorists are asked to take these works into consideration when planning their journeys.
