Last month at Mold Magistrates Court, Mr Christopher Jarvis of 50 Chester Road, Buckley pleaded guilty to two charges of breaching a Noise Abatement Notice served by Flintshire County Council’s Public Protection Service.
A Public Protection Officer carried out noise monitoring to obtain evidence of loud music coming from Mr Jarvis’s flat on two separate dates. The noise caused disturbance to other residents living in the flats at Chester Road, Buckley.
The court imposed a conditional discharge for two years on the defendant. The court ordered the defendant to pay prosecution costs of £432.52.
Dr Paul McGreary, Head of Public Protection at Flintshire County Council, said:
“Noise nuisance causes severe disruption to people’s lives. The problem is widespread as approximately 500 noise complaints are dealt with each year. I hope this case will persuade members of the public to be more considerate of their neighbours when playing music or causing other types of noise so they do not cause disturbance to their neighbours.”
