Buckley Library is hosting an exhibition of photographs celebrating Guiding in Buckley District.
The Buckley District was formed in 1973 and Mrs Christine Dwerryhouse, District Commissioner, has collected many photographs and press cuttings of guiding activities since then. These include photographs of: international trips to Canada, Holland, Trinidad and Tobago and Bermuda; gang shows from throughout the 1980s; more recent photos of Brownie pack holidays and sleepovers; and photographs of the Brownies, Guides and Rainbows celebrating the centenary of Guiding throughout this year.
It is a wonderful collection showing many children involved in Guiding activities over the last 30 years.
It will be on show at the Library throughout November.
