Newport’s Celtic Springs Business Park has taken a further step forward in boosting quality of life and helping employees to reduce their carbon footprint at the same time.
The £100m Business Park has recently opened a new parade of shops reducing the need for employees to drive off site for their lunch.
Now a new bus service to the 45 acre business park, close to Junction 28 of the M4 and alongside the busy A48 Cardiff to Newport Road, has been unveiled.
The service, to and from the city centre and the business park, is operated by Newport Transport.
Iain Logue, representing AWG Property which is developing the business spark, said: “The bus service ensures employees have a timely, cost-effective, regular and flexible alterative to using a car to get to their place of work.
“The service which runs regularly from early morning throughout the day until the evening is ideal for fitting in with the variety of hours worked the mixture of jobs carried out by people employed in a range of occupations on the park.
“We are constantly seeking ways to improve the facilities and services that we offer the people on Celtic Springs as see this new service as just the latest in this aim to ensure that Celtic Springs Business park is justified in its form belief that it is among the very best environments in which to work not just in Wales the UK.”
Mr Logue said he was confident that the remaining space at Celtic Springs Retail Quarter will soon be filled to further enhance facilities on the business park.

Some 5,000 employees live within local bus travel distance of Celtic Springs with almost 30,000 people living in the vicinity of the park.
