Police are appealing for information after sixth form students lost their art work when their school was burgled.
The incident took place sometime over the bank holiday weekend whereby offenders gained entry to the sixth form common room at Ysgol Creuddyn in Penrhyn Bay.
Once inside they trashed the 6th form common room damaging some of the students ”A” level art work that is needed in the next few weeks for their exams.
They also damaged the facilities including the toaster, kettle and crockery, but above all a mural/ shrine to an ex-pupil who died some years ago in a road traffic collision was destroyed. The mural comprised of photos of the ex- pupil and poems that the students had written.
PC Lynnette Farley said: “Naturally the students are distraught by this vile desecration, and we are appealing to anyone out there who knows who is responsible for this cruel act.”
Anyone who may have information relating to the offence is urged to contact PC Farley on 101, or 0845 6071001 (Welsh line), 0845 6071002 (English line) or Crimestoppers Wales on 0800 555111. Alternatively text 66767 or e-mail [email protected]
