Commenting on the Education Minister’s statement on the development of a school banding system, Shadow Minister for Education Angela Burns AM, said:
“These plans still lack clarity and the criteria being used to band schools still requires much more detail.
“I have spoken to headteachers who remain worried and uncertain about the system and it’s absolutely essential that the Welsh Labour Government discusses the changes with them.
“While the Minister is very keen to point out what his idea is certainly not about, his aspirations and ultimate aims for it remain completely unclear.”
