Following the announcement from The Hywel Dda Trust that the MIU units at South Pembrokeshire and Tenby will be re-opened on 1st April, South Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen West AM Angela Burns recently commented:
“I welcome the statement from the Hywel Dda Trust to re-open these two vital hospitals and would urge the constituents of South Pembrokeshire to engage fully with the consultation process being carried out by the trust. It is imperative that we do not lose any further services that need to be provided in Pembrokeshire for the people of Pembrokeshire”.
“My daily post bag is still full of concerned people and I can sympathise with them in view of the recent events, Hywel Dda need to ensure that they have reflected the needs and wishes of the local community prior to making any proposed changes to our NHS service”.
