Following the success of his appearance in the Capitol Centre this week, Caddy Man is back on another mission to explain the recycling and waste collection changes coming to Cardiff from the 12th September. He will be back, loud and proud outside the Capitol Centre between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 27th August.
This won’t be the only opportunity to meet education team and Caddy Man, he will be with the education at some of the venues they are visiting across the city ahead of the changes that will affect every household in Cardiff as a new weekly recycling collection is introduced.
The changes to the collection service are being put in to encourage more of us to recycle as much as possible and to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill. The weekly recycling and food waste service will be introduced from the 12th September; from this date garden waste and general (black bin or black bags) will be collected fortnightly, on alternate weeks.
In addition to the changes to the service, most people will have a change of collection day and it’s really important residents find out what their new day is to ensure a smooth transition to the new service.
So if you want to find out more about the weekly recycling service and your new collection day, The education team will be there to tell you all you need to know as well as hand out recycling and food waste bags.
