If you know someone who’s helped transform the lives of council tenants or local communities in the Caerphilly county borough, you now have the chance to thank them with a newly launched awards scheme.
Caerphilly County Borough Council will hold its first Transforming Lives and Communities Awards this year. The awards are being held to recognise individuals and groups making a difference to the lives of council tenants in the county borough and the areas in which they live.
There are four award categories:
- Transforming Lives Award – Individual council tenant who has made a difference to the lives of others
- Transforming Communities Award – Group who’s work has helped transform local communities
- Young person of the year – Person under 21 living in council property
- The ‘Extra Mile’ award – Caerphilly Homes’ employee
The awards are now open for nominations and the closing date is Friday 27th June; winners will be announced at an awards ceremony later in the year.
The awards are being co-ordinated by the council’s Caerphilly Homes team. More information on the awards, including criteria and nomination forms, are available from the team by calling 01443 866493 / 864262, by emailing [email protected] or at www.caerphilly.gov.uk/housing.
