Young people from Caerphilly Youth Forum have been busy showcasing their art skills in a special arts project.
Funded by Caerphilly Youth Service and BAM Construction, the young people designed and painted large murals to be displayed on the hoardings surrounding the new hospital construction site in Ystrad Fawr.
The young people decided to use a poem written by Michael Rosen, a former Children’s Poet Laureate, entitled ‘These are the hands’ as an inspiration for their artwork.
Once completed, the designs were also used to create a digital story about the new hospital which will be used by Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board when promoting the new service in the run up to the opening of the hospital.
The digital story can be viewed on YouTube and the murals can be seen at the hospital site itself.
