Cardiff Council’s Trading Standards is warning consumers about an allergen notice issued by Crème D’or Ltd, the retailer of Café Tasse Chocolat Fin Artisanal Noir 45g bar due to incorrect allergen labelling on the product.
The batch in question – L11303249 – has been found to contain milk-traces but has not been correctly declared on the labelling. Therefore, this is a potential health risk for individuals who are allergic or intolerant to milk.
Cardiff Council’s head of Regulatory and Supporting Services, Dave Holland, said: “Cardiff Council takes the issue of consumer safety very seriously and, as a precautionary measure, we advise customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk not to eat this product.
